World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix, modifying the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.
item upgrading can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
The player can get up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be done regularly, as it could waste many resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is very important in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its initial state and the player having to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Players will still have to bring each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost listed above.
